Cleanse for the next two months…


Here it is, direct from Dr. W, my new dietary needs for the next 2 months


  • 8-10 servings a day (at least 6 different, at least 1 orange, 1 root, 1 green)
  • 1-3 leafy greens (kale, brussel sprouts, spinach, mustard greens, bok choy)
  • no corn, potato, canned, jarred, cooked tomato


  • 1-3 a day
  • no banana, citrus (except lemon and lime), melon, strawberries, dried fruits

Grains (at least 2 cups of this a day)

  • brown and wild rice
  • millet, buckwheat, quinoa, barley, tapioca, teff, amaranth
  • cereals made of above grains
  • steel cut oats
  • refined grains, rolled or quick cut oats, pasta, white rice


  • all legumes (chick peas, adzuki beans, navy, white, black, kidney)
  • all peas
  • lentils
  • no soy, soy products

Nuts and Seeds

  • Almonds, brazil nuts, hazel nuts, pecans, walnuts (roasted and unsalted)
  • sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower
  • no peanuts, pistachios, cashews, salted and flavoured nuts

Animal Products

  • free-range, organic chicken or turkey
  • wild deep water fish
  • goat cheese (no more than 3 times a week)
  • eggs, boiled or poached
  • no red meats, sandwich meats, hot dogs, sausages, canned meats, smoked meats, shellfish, catfish, dairy


  • olive oil, flax oil, hemp seed oil, coconut oil
  • all herbs
  • all spices
  • sea salt
  • tahini, nut butters, apple butter
  • bean dips
  • pesto, dry mustard
  • apple cider vinegar, brown rice vinegar
  • no table salt, refined oils, margarine, shortening, sweeteners


  • 3 lt filtered water daily
  • 100% fruit and veg juices, no sweetened, no salt
  • herbal teas
  • green tea
  • rice milk and nut milks
  • no caffeinated, alcohol, dairy, soymilk, orange juice, high salt veg juice


Tomorrow is my official start day, but today I’m eating well also. No sense in delaying it just because I’m not hitting my intake goals!
